The Leaning Lodge Trust
The Leaning Lodge Trust was established by the OTMC to independently plan and manage the future of Leaning Lodge Hut. Its main activity to date has been to design a new hut, obtain required permits and concessions, fund raise and build the hut, which was completed in June 2024.
The utilisation of the hut has exceeded out most optimistic projections and is increasing year on year. Future planned activities of the trust are to establish citizen science activities around the hut that focus on its unique location, and to investigate alternative access routes to the hut that would be bike friendly.
The Trust has published a beautifully crafted 70-page softcover book called "Leaning Lodge - A Legacy on the Rock and Pillar Range". It can be purchased here.
The Leaning Lodge Trust wish to acknowledge all those that have contributed and made this a successful project. The project has been a massive undertaking for a relatively small group of individuals. The level of support and enthusiasm for the project, from all our supporters, energised the project team and enabled their dream to be fulfilled.
